Had my dear wife pick this up for Christmas, once again I proved that patience is not my specialty. Removing the “flash suppressor” was not difficult, used 1 each vise, 4″ piece of inner tube, and two pieces of hardwood. Squeeze factor major to keep the barrel from turning. Used an open end wrench and it was a done deal. I did replace the crush washer, seemed like the right thing to do. The shroud required the removal of the end cap from the fore grip – easy (Jody said use chopsticks) he was correct. Slipped on the shroud and torqued it down. it was about the same weight as the suppressor but it has a coolness factor that is way higher (I’m in my late 60’s and still enjoy coolness). Accuracy was not changed still shooting sub 1″ groups with scope and little over 1″ with the red dot. Go for it it’s a fun upgrade.
